PML-Q senior leader and Parliamentarian Moonis Elahi has drawn a parallel between Jamiat Ulema-i-Pakistan (JUP) leader Maulana Shah Awais Noorani and Indian spy Kulbhushan Jadhav for his alleged anti-Pakistan statement.
Mr Moonis wrote on his Twitter feed: saying: “My maternal grandfather Chaudhry Zahoor Elahi (Shaheed) remained admirer of Shah Ahmad Noorani for his services for the religion and love for Pakistan. In the PDM meeting in Quetta (on Sunday last), Shah Amad Noorani’s son Awais Noorani had raised ‘Azad Balochistan’ slogan.”
۔#Baluchistan #KulbhushanJadhav pic.twitter.com/hAWmPrSzRc

“What difference remains between Awais and Kulbhushan Jadhav after this?” asked Mr Moonis.
Awais Noorani faced criticism for peddling the Indian narrative regarding Balochistan over his remarks during the PDM rally in Quetta.
“We want Balochistan as an independent state. Today Balochistan looks like an underdeveloped area of the country,” Awais Noorani said in his speech at the rally which was also addressed by leaders including Maulana Fazlur Rehman, Maryam Nawaz and Bilawal Bhutto Zardari. Later Noorani tried to clarify his position saying he was quoted out of context.

Moonis Elahi regretted over Awais Noorani’s statement saying he was not expecting such a statement from the son of great Shah Ahmad Noorani. “If such comments come from a local politician what difference remains between him and Indian spy,” Mr Moonis said and warned the PDM politicians of selling Indian narrative.
