Pak cricket team’s few top guns still following bookies’ line

By Iram Salim

Islamabad, Sept 12 (www.pakdestiny.com) Pakistan lost third One Day International to Australia on Monday as its top guns fixed their role on the direction of bookies.
Informed sources told Pak Destiny that the bookies had placed their men mainly – Shoiab Malik, Kamran Akmal, Umer Akmal – in the Pak Cricket team to have a result of their own choice.
“Even the role of Hafeez appeared to be suspicious as he deliberately put Australia into bat first then he and the other three prime suspects threw away their tickets suspiciously in the run chase of 169,” the sources said.
Both Malik and Kamran were not cleared by the PCB’s integrity committee but the bookies managed to ensure their place in the team.
Similarly, Umar Akmal always toes the line of his brother whenever he makes a deal with bookies in any given match.
Even ICC had to clear both Malik and Kamran and the reason is – bookies power.
Wasim Akram, who is a role model for our cricketers wishing to book every given match, forgot to mention the ‘bookie connection’ of these players after the post match comments.
Mr Akram must remember that like him the bookies do ensure the place of these players in national team at any cost.
Salman Butt, Muhammad Amir and Asif say they were unlucky for being caught red-handed. “Otherwise there are a few in the national team who do not follow the line of bookies.” – www.pakdestiny.com
