Reversal of Fortunes: Musharraf to strike 10-year exile deal with Sharif

Islamabad, Jan 6 (Pak Destiny) Former president Gen (R) Pervez Musharraf is going to strike a 10-year “Exile Deal” with Nawaz Sharif’s PML-N government. Saudis will be guarantors in this deal as well.

The deal will be like that of the one Musharraf-Nawaz struck back in early 2000 under which Sharif and his family members had to go to Saudi Arabia for a 10-year exile.

“There will be the same guarantors of both deals. In the fresh one, Musharraf will not return to Pakistan for next 10 years but he can go to other countries on his wish,” sources told Pak Destiny.

While Saudi Foreign Minister Saud al Faisal has arrived here to discuss the “Mush-Rescue Deal” with PML-N leadership, Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan has also visited the Saudi embassy in this regard. “It is now a matter of days that Musharraf is flying from Pakistan,” they said.

Musharraf, who was due to appear for treason hearing on January 2, fell sick on his way to the court and was admitted to a military hospital in Rawalpindi for medical check up. The sudden sickness resulted in rumours claiming that the former president will leave Pakistan as a part of a “secret deal” brokered by international players.

Many have linked the visit of the Saudi foreign minister to this clandestine arrangement.
