Maryam flees to London as she was not ready to take the blame of PDM humiliating defeat in yet another bypolls -- PDM extremely upset over rise of Khan

With Maryam Nawaz fleeing from Pakistan to see certain defeat in by-polls so that blame is not placed on her, Imran Khan has been on a rollercoaster at the moment trampling his political opponents — 13 parties of PDM.

This Sunday the Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf chairman Imran Khan  made a repeat of the July 17 Punjab by-election with a resounding win with Khan winning on seven National Assembly seats out of eight.

Poor PPP with the support of 12 parties including Sharifs PMLN and MQM managed to grab two NA seats. Yousuf Raza Gilani is a happy man as his son Musa defeat arch rival Shah Mahmood Qureshi’s daughter Mehr Bano. Seems to a be a defeat to dynastic politics.

Journalist Cyril Almeida also noted that the PML-N had faced the most damage to its political capital.

“The PML-N destroying its vote base and eviscerating its political capital in a few short months is a truly monumental achievement in the history of Pakistan politics.”

On the three Punjab Assembly seats, PMLN lost two of seats it held in 2018 to PTI.

The results of the by polls were a writing on the wall.

Maryam sensing yet another humiliating defeat in by polls decided to to flee to London. She knew her party will question her of yet another defeat.

Now the PMLN should better evaluate where what had gone wrong. The greed of grabbing power and making Khan a political martyr seems to be a biggest mistake of the Sharifs.

Now the Sharifs should lick their wounds. PAK DESTINY
