LAHORE: It was shocking when PTI chairman Imran Khan has disclosed that Moonis Elahi’s friend Faran Khan has been brutally tortured.

“Moonis’s friend Faran was brutally tortured only because Moonis has refused to leave me,” Imran Khan said while speaking to the PTI MPAs on Wednesday.
Mr Moonis and his father Punjab Chief Minister Chaudhry Parvez Elahi have decided to stay loyal with Imran Khan despite immense pressure from the establishment and ‘lucrative offer’ of the federal coalition government.

“Moonis’s friend was so mercilessly tortured that he couldn’t speak in the Lahore High Court when he was produced before it,” Imran said.
Faran was allegedly “abducted” from Lahore’s Garden Town by plain clothesmen three days ago.
Faran’s brother had moved the Lahore High Court (LHC) against his ‘disappearance’, alleging that the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) had kept him in illegal custody.

Taking notice of the incident, the LHC directed FIA to recover and present him before the court. Subsequently, Faran was dropped outside his home in the wee hours of Wednesday. Ahead of the LHC hearing today, Faran Khan talked to the media and said he was staying with his family. About his head injury, Moonis Elahi’s close friend said he was accidentally hit by a vehicle door while coming to the court.
Earlier in a tweet, Mr Moonis said: “Some people picked up a friend of mine from his residence in two black Vigo champs. After some time he will be handed over to the FIA and pressure be exerted on it for registration of case against him. Why don’t you understand that we do not have to join the PDM.”
But it seems the establishment is bent upon pushing the Elahis to jump from Imran’s ship but they aren’t.
All marks to their loyalty and now the PTI activists should praise Elahis for not giving in to that extreme pressure. PAK DESTINY
