Islamabad, Oct 31 (Pak Destiny) As Jang group fails to come up to clear its name in a series of allegations against it, anchor Mubashir Lucman on Wednesday revealed that this media group is a defaulter of Rs3.7 billion of Pakistan Electronic Media Regulatory Authority and Rs1.7 billion of National Bank of Pakistan.
Besides, Geo group has been taking huge funding from the UK and Norway on the pretext of running social campaigns. Lucman also accuses Jang group of running hatred programs against a minority community and fanning violence in society, citing the US reports. He also accuses it of instigating Gen Musharraf to launch an attack on Lal Masjid. Geo’s Aman ki Asha program is being funded by India’s Doordarshan TV, he said.
Lucman has invited Mir Shakeelur Rehman to come at his show – Khara Sach at ARY – and clear the name of his organization.
It is more or less turning out to be a “lone warrior” against a giant media group of Pakistan. Lets see how thing turn out to be in days to come. – Pak Destiny
