- Nawaz tries to shift focus from his corruption
- Moonis says Nawaz has assumed a role of approver against Pakistan

(PakDestiny) PML-Q Parliamentary Leader in Punjab Assembly Moonis Elahi believes that Nawaz Sharif has ended his political career after openly declaring himself a ‘spokesman and advocate’ for Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
“Nawaz Sharif (former premier) has become an approver against Pakistan for an enemy country (India) . He has tried to sell the interest of 210 million people in order to cover his corruption. Nawaz Sharif will never be forgiven by the people of Pakistan and history,” Monnis Elahi tweeted today.
Moonis expressed his surprise as how a man who has been elected prime minister by this country for three times could be that much insensitive to the national interest. “This man (Nawaz) could not present a single witness to prove himself innocent in billions of corruption and off-shore properties references. He now has become a ‘single approver’ for India… which is very much unfortunate,” he said.
Nawaz Sharif is being criticised by all segment of society since he issued a statement targeting the Pakistani security agencies in order to help India.
In an interview to daily Dawn on May 12, Nawaz Sharif said: “Militant organisations are active. Call them non-state actors, should we allow them to cross the border and kill 150 people in Mumbai? Explain it to me. Why can’t we complete the trial?” — a reference to the Mumbai attacks-related trials which have stalled in a Rawalpindi anti-terrorism court.
“It’s absolutely unacceptable. This is exactly what we are struggling for. President Putin has said it. President Xi has said it,” Mr Sharif said. “We could have already been at seven per cent growth (in GDP), but we are not,” Sharif added.
Moonis Elahi said after this statement can any one from the PML-N in a position to defend him. “Perhaps Nawaz may not find a single patriot in Pakistan to defend him on this pro-India statement,” he said and added that his statement has caused a great rupture in the PML-N.
India is extremely happy over Nawaz’s statement and using it internationally to malign it. Moonis believes that Nawaz will regret one day for his pro-India statement. -Pak Destiny
